Every weapon was overpowered, making the game incredibly fun, and the map lineup included classics like Terminal, Rust, and Highrise. Alongside the best iteration of the co-op mode Spec Ops, the second Modern Warfare game featured iconic weaponry like the Ranger shotguns and Intervention sniper rifle. While the campaign of the 2009 title was beloved by fans, and it was nice to see an upgraded version of it, multiplayer was where the title truly shined. As such, fans were hoping for more than just the campaign to be remastered in 2020, and it seems like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 fans were originally going to get their wish.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is one of the most beloved games in the franchise, and for good reason.
